casi.forma was born from a lifelong conversation with art.

I’m Vanesa, originally from Argentina, and I’ve spent much of my life close to art and movement — through painting, drawing, dance, and aerial silks. These practices shaped the way I notice form, balance, texture, and expression.

Three years ago, I found ceramics, and something clicked. I started on the wheel, then moved into handbuilding, where I became captivated by how much a piece of clay can hold: movement, texture, stillness, and the quiet beauty of an imperfect form.

The name casi.forma means “almost a form” in Spanish — a nod to my Argentine roots and to the beauty of things that feel organic, unfinished, and alive.

Today, casi.forma is a small ceramic studio based in New Jersey, creating handmade objects shaped slowly and intentionally by hand. Each piece is made in small batches, embracing soft movement, natural irregularity, and the beauty found in imperfection. No two pieces are exactly alike.

These objects are created to bring warmth, calm, and character into everyday spaces — pieces to be lived with, noticed, and enjoyed over time.
